Maria Montessori:
"There is in a child a special kind of sensitivity which leads him to absorb everything about him, and it is this work of observing and absorbing that alone enables him to adapt himself to life."
What is LifeSong Montessori all about?
Mission Statement
LifeSong Montessori is committed to providing an exceptional education while nurturing the child’s relationship with God and upholding the philosophy, practices and curriculum of Dr. Maria Montessori.
Vision
The cornerstone of our vision is a belief that each child is a gift from God. We strive to create an environment of learning that involves families, educators and the community in nurturing the whole child. We embody the best practices that have evolved in early childhood and Montessori education. Our goal is to foster autonomous, competent, responsible, adaptive citizens who are lifelong learners and problem solvers. As a community of learners, we believe in leading children by example of how to be independent learners and operative members of the community, celebrating diversity through God’s love. Respect for oneself, others, the environment and all life is necessary to develop a caring attitude toward all people and the planet. We believe in teaching children to improve wellness and health while showing how to tread lightly on the environment. Our task is to provide an atmosphere of acceptance, respect and trust so that learning and development of character will flourish.
